A pregnancy that happens outside the uterus, most commonly in the Fallopian Tube, is called ectopic. There are chances that the fertilized egg implants on ovaries or lower abdominal regions. But, we can say that Ectopic Pregnancy is a life-threatening situation, and no one knows what can happen next. But, it is the fact that no Ectopic Pregnancy can be continued till the baby is out.   • A history of pelvic inflammatory disease.
  • Surgery on your fallopian tubes or the other organs of your pelvic area.
  • A history of infertility.
  • Treatment for infertility with in vitro fertilization.
  • Endometriosis.
  • Sexually transmitted infections.
  • An intrauterine device
  • A history of smoking.
  • Vaginal bleeding.
  • Pain in your lower abdomen, pelvis, and lower back.
  • Dizziness or weakness.

The older a woman gets, the higher the chances of Ectopic Pregnancy. 

However, there can be other reasons too for the occurrence of Ectopic Pregnancy also. Doctors will perform the following test on you to know if you are diagnosed with Ectopic Pregnancy:

  • Urine test 
  • Blood test
  • An ultrasound exam
